Victoria's practice involves the representation of a variety of public sector and private sector unions and their members in arbitrations, at the labour board, and before other administrative tribunals including the Pay Equity Tribunal. Victoria is bilingual.
Victoria's practice involves education law and she represents teachers in all matters arising from their employment. She is co-editor of the leading text Education Labour and Employment Law. Her practice includes the defence of teachers before the College of Teachers during the course of investigations, discipline and fitness to practice proceedings.
Victoria also represents performers and their union, and advocates for their rights arising under the collective agreements governing commercial productions and independent productions.
As part of her strong interest in human rights, especially in the areas of harassment and the duty to accommodate workers with disabilities, Victoria regularly consults with clients on the development of human rights policies, harassment policies, pay equity plans, and strategic planning of litigation connected with these issues. Victoria is a frequent guest speaker at leading labour law conferences as well as client workshops and seminars on labour law.
