Systemic violations of women’s rights continue to occur worldwide despite years of commitments to end inequalities and despite the proven economic and development benefits of gender equitable labour policies. Labour markets in both developing and developed countries deny women one of the most basic human rights – the right to non-discriminatory work and income.
