On July 8, 2020, Cavalluzzo LLP (“Cavalluzzo”) was appointed as Representative Counsel of all individuals who were contracted by Foodora Inc. to provide courier services and who were actively providing services as of February 3, 2020, and who are represented by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers.  Please click here to view the Representation Order.

Foodora continued to operate for two weeks after its Notice of Intention was filed. Foodora took the position that since it had provided other Couriers with two weeks of working notice, no other amounts were owed to the Couriers.

Cavalluzzo worked with CUPW (whom we represent) and another law firm that the court has authorized to represent the non-CUPW Couriers to advance a claim on behalf of the Couriers, and this has led to the negotiation of a proposed settlement. It is expected that this settlement will be finalized in the next few weeks.

If you wish to participate in this settlement and be represented by Cavalluzzo, you do not need to do anything.

As a term of the Representation Order issued by the court, if you do not wish to be represented in this proceeding by our firm, you have the opportunity to opt-out of our representation. This would mean that we would not represent you in the proceedings and you would not receive any funds from the settlement. If you wish to opt out of representation by Cavalluzzo LLP, please follow the instructions in the Notice here.
