Bio

Clémence joined Cavalluzzo as an associate in 2024, after working with the firm as an articling student and summer student. They practice in the areas of labour law, employment law and litigation, and human rights, as well as Aboriginal law and Indigenous rights. Clémence provides client services in both English and French.

Clémence received their Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa, in 2023. In conjunction with their legal studies, Clémence also earned a BSocSc in Political Science from the University of Ottawa. During law school, they spent several years working with community and equality-oriented initiatives, including LEAF, the Equality Law Clinic, the Capital Rainbow Refuge, the ID Project and the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic. They are deeply committed to social advocacy and bring an anti-oppressive and trauma-informed lens to their practice.

Clémence’s independent research also mobilizes queer theory to explore the intersections between queer/trans knowledge and legal studies.
